2021 Zone Pennant Finals – Grade 3
Last weekend the Grade 3 Pennant Finals were played at Young Bowling Club.
This was played as a 3 team Round Robin with the Zone winner being the team with the highest number of points at the end of the 3 rounds. Margins were to be used if teams finished on equal number of points.
The 3 clubs involved were Narrandera, Junee and Henty.
In Round 1 Narrandera played Junee with Narrandera coming away with a 58-55 win and an 8-2 points win.
With this win Narrandera progressed to Round 3.
Round 2 pitted the losers of Round 1 Junee against Henty who had a bye in Round 1.
Junee came away with an emphatic 73-44 10-0 win to keep their hopes alive.
Round 3 Narrandera played Henty and left their best till last winning 82-30 for a 10-0 win thus snaring the Grade 3 title for 2021 and progressing to the Bowls New South Wales State Pennant Finals on the 16th to 18th July at NBC Sports (Northmead Bowling Club) where they will play Sylvania (round 1), Harbord (round 2) and Yamba (round 3).
Final standings of the Round Robin were:
1st Narrandera 18.0 + 55, 2nd Junee 12.0 + 26, 3rd Henty 0.0 – 81.
